How to get to Anguilla

Anguilla is located in the Eastern Caribbean, (18º North Latitude and 63º West Longitude) just one-hour east of Puerto Rico and seven minutes north of Dutch St. Maarten by air; and 20 minutes north from French St. Martin by ferry.

AMERICAN AIRLINES now has non-stop service between Miami International Airport (MIA) and Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport (AXA) on the island of Anguilla.

American Airlines service into Anguilla operates daily. Service will operate on American Airlines fleet of E75-Embraer 175.

There are several convenient flights into Princess Juliana Airport (SXM) on the Dutch Side of St. Maarten from both the USA and Europe. It is an easy and convenient transfer by air or sea to Anguilla. Scheduled flights into St.

It is only a 20 minute taxi ride (approx. $20) per person from Princess Juliana Airport(SXM) to Marigot Ferry Terminal. Ferries are a popular way to travel between Anguilla and St. Martin. Between 7:30AM and 7:00PM. Ferries run at approximately 45 minute intervals between Blowing Point(Anguilla) and Marigot Bay(St. Martin) every day. No reservations are necessary. The trip to and from St. Martin takes approximately 20 Mins and crossings are $15 each way, plus $5 departure tax. Last ferries of the day are 6:15 p.m from Anguilla and 7:00 p.m from Marigot Bay. Ferries are also available for charter.

Private Boat Charter/Motor Launch

A 25-minute boat ride departs from the nearby lagoon at Princess Juliana Airport and disembarks at the Blowing Point Ferry Port in Anguilla. Guests must first clear Immigration and Customs in St. Maarten and then proceed to Anguilla. Maximum 12 persons per private charter.

A scheduled Sea Shuttle service enables Guests to take a shared motor launch from the lagoon near Juliana Airport to Blowing Point Ferry Port in Anguilla without the high price of a private motor launch. The Sea Shuttle will meet main flights from the US and Europe that arrive in the afternoon. There is also a Sea Shuttle available to take Guests to St. Maarten to catch their planes.

Travel Documents You’ll Need

A valid passport (with at least 6 months before expiration) is required by all visitors to Anguilla. Visitors are required to have a return or onward ticket. Additionally, citizens of certain countries will also need entry visas. Green card holders must have a valid green card and valid passport from their country of origin.
